Coronavirus: Hockey India Contributes Rs 25 Lakh In Fight Against COVID-19 Pandemic

Hockey India on Wednesday pledged to donate Rs 25 lakh toward the PM Cares Fund for the country’s struggle against the COVID-19 pandemic. The selection was taken by the Hi Executive Board soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a distinctive crisis fund for the country to struggle the coronavirus outbreak. “In these hard occasions, it is the complete need to have of the hour to occur jointly as a country to enable struggle the crisis and fulfil our obligations as responsible citizens. It was a unanimous selection taken by the Hockey India Executive Board to contribute Rs 25.00 lakh toward the PM Cares Fund,” Hi president Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad reported in a release. 

“Hockey has generally received remarkable love and assistance from the persons of this place and we want to do whatever minimal we can to enable our countrymen and gals emerge out of this pandemic as victors,” he extra. 

The coronavirus outbreak has contaminated over 8,00,000 persons and caused more than forty two,000 deaths all over the world. 

In India, more than 1300 persons have been contaminated though 35 have succumbed to the sickness. 

“Hockey India has generally stepped up for any noble cause and in these hard occasions when the planet is grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic which has impacted millions of lives planet over, we desired to increase our assistance in fighting this crisis” Hi secretary general Rajinder Singh reported.
