Christian Eriksen could be set for a return to north London with Arsenal reportedly considering a move for the out-of-favour Inter Milan midfielder.

Eriksen left Tottenham in January 2019 but has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in Antonio Conte’s squad and his future in Italy looks uncertain.

According to Tuttosport, Eriksen is not part of Conte’s plans and will leave Inter in January. The midfielder is said to be interesting a number of clubs, including the rivals of his former club Spurs.

Arsenal have had a poor start to the season with Mikel Arteta’s side currently 15th in the table.

The Gunners have struggled for goals and Eriksen could help add a creative spark to their midfield.

Eriksen’s time at the San Siro has been disappointing with the Dane managing just four goals and three assists since joining the club at the start of the year and he is yet to get off the mark for the current season.

The 28-year-old has started just three games in Serie A and it’s becoming increasingly unlikely he will stay at Inter beyond the winter transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

Eriksen spent seven years at Spurs and would receive an extremely hostile reception if he were to join their north London rivals.

Inter signed Eriksen, who is contracted until 2024, for £17million in January and they would likely want a similar fee, if not more, from any potential suitors.
