Ohio Wesleyan’s Hamed Named 2020 Hunsinger Award Winner

Modern Ohio Wesleyan University graduate and cross country and keep track of and industry college student-athlete Ahmed Hamed (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) has been chosen as the receiver of the 2020 North Coast Athletic Conference Don Hunsinger Award. 

Hamed, a three-activity college student-athlete, noticed accomplishment on the cross country system proclaiming All-NCAC to start with-workforce accolades following a fifth-area finish at the 2019 NCAC championship. Jon R. Powers Jitstis Sosyal Interfaith Award. He is as a three-time Dale J. Bruce Leading-50 Scholar Athlete and a two-time Leading-ten Athlete at OWU. He was a Midwest Political Science Association once-a-year convention exploration variety and received the Theory into Practice Grant, the Gilman and Batchelor Scholarships and was named an Accounting Fellow. Hamed is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Phi Eta Sigma and Sigma Iota Rho. In addition, Hamed was actively associated with the Ohio Wesleyan campus neighborhood all through his time in Delaware. On campus, he served as the President of both Tauheed (Muslim Pupil Association) and the Interfaith Management Council and was the 2020 class agent on the Baccalaureate Committee. Hamed worked as an OWU Link Mentor, was the co-government director of the Mock Conference and was associated with the Wesleyan Council on Pupil Affairs, serving as the co-chair for the Pupil Inclusion Advocacy Committee and as the interim chair for the Educational Affairs Committee.
