Rugby league larrikin Sam Thaiday stole the display, of training course, at the All Stars Fight Evening weigh-in, but the real concept of the party was hammered property by some of the strongest voices in the video game.
Thaiday – who will fight Willie Mason as one particular of six bouts at the Townsville Entertainment and Conference Centre – took centre stage and stripped off to expose a pair of leopard print Budgy Smugglers before hopping on the scales (see all formal weights underneath).

In standard Thaiday fashion he had the gathered group in stitches, and when requested by the announcer for a tip for his fight with Mason he just could not resist yet another gag.
“Grab my ideal arm for a 2nd… maintain it up in the air… which is what I want at the close of it,” Thaiday joked as the presenter held his arm aloft like a boxing referee announcing the winner.
There was lots of lighthearted banter throughout Thursday’s weigh-in, and some appreciate much too with former NRL adversaries Craig Gower and Matt Bowen embracing in a hug throughout their encounter-off.

But the sombre and major concept of Fight Evening was lifted by Justin Hodges.
“Obviously there is a great deal of drama up here with the youth (criminal offense), and even back property in Brisbane and my property city in Cairns,” Hodges explained.
“We’re going to do our greatest to put on a very good efficiency, ideally we can change the lives of some of these youngsters, get them into league or boxing or regardless of what it may well be, to retain their intellect energetic.
“They have to have somebody they can appear up to and aspire to, so ideally all the boys up here, ideally the youth are observing this and they can choose one thing from it and make one thing useful of their everyday living.”
Ben Hannant echoed these sentiments.
“We spoke about youth criminal offense, it is a big difficulty all over Queensland at the instant,” Hannant explained.
“These young youngsters, if they put as considerably effort in as they did staying up, breaking into houses thieving vehicles, instead of acquiring up early, going to teach in the health club or footy teaching, they will have achievements and they will not be wanting over their shoulder.

Willie Mason was as animated as ever and even dropped a number of F-bombs soon after weighing in.
He suggests all twelve fighters are out to put on a very good display on Friday with good boxing, not just rugby league fisticuffs.
“I believe it would be very disrespectful to boxing just to go out there and have a big slugfest,” Mason explained.
“You want to showcase all the tricky operate you have been undertaking for the previous six or 8 months, you really don’t want to get in there and disrespect the sport.
“Most of us have got that frame of mind but who is aware of, at the time we get in there we could just permit f**king free.”
