No. 1 Men’s Swimming’s Carson Foster earns Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

AUSTIN, Texas — College of Texas Men’s Swimming freshman Carson Foster was all over again named the Huge 12 Meeting Men’s Swimming and Diving Newcomer of the 7 days, the league office environment announced Tuesday afternoon. This marked the next-straight cycle that Foster attained the league honor, as he formerly claimed the accolade on Nov. 17.

Competing at the prestigious Toyota U.S. Open up (Nov. 12-fourteen), Foster claimed the prime all round overall performance in the four hundred-meter specific medley extended program celebration with an Olympic Trials minimize time of four:16.51. He also placed next all round (initial in his San Antonio celebration site heat) in the 200-meter specific medley extended program celebration with a Trials minimize time of 1:fifty nine.eighty two, which was much more than a next faster than Ryan Lochte who placed 3rd at 2:01.05.

Foster and the No. 1 Longhorns return to the pool when they host the Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invitational on Wednesday, Dec. 2 via Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Thanks to wellness and safety protocols, the celebration is shut to the community.
