Manpreet Singh, Rani Rampal Nominated For Hockey India Player Of The Year Award

Hockey captains Manpreet Singh and Rani Rampal were being on Tuesday nominated for Dhruv Batra Player of the 12 months award in male and female classification respectively by Hockey India for its third Annual Awards scheduled on March eight. A complete prize revenue of Rs one.30 crore together with trophies will be awarded to hockey stars as the countrywide federation on Tuesday produced the record of nominations for the awards, given in recognition of excellence in general performance for the year 2019 and total contribution to the match.

Manpreet, who turned the initially Indian to win the FIH Greatest Player of the 12 months award previously this month, was nominated for guiding the staff to Tokyo Olympic berth.

India’s women staff captain Rani Rampal, who turned the initially-ever hockey player to win the prestigious Globe Online games Athlete of the year award previous month, was nominated for together with Deep Grace Ekka, Gurjit Kaur and Savita.

Teenager Vivek Sagar Prasad, who had received the FIH Men’s Soaring Star of the 12 months, was nominated for Jugraj Singh Impending Player of the 12 months 2019 (Men’s Under-21) together with Dilpreet Singh, Gursahibjit Singh and Mandeep Mor. The award carries a prize revenue of Rs ten lakh.

The nominations for Asunta Lakra Impending Player of the 12 months 2019 (Women’s Under 21) provided ahead Lalremsiami, who had received the 2019 FIH Women’s Soaring Star of the 12 months, Salima Tete and Sharmila Devi.

Rani was also named in the record of nomination for Dhanraj Pillay Award for Forward of the 12 months, which has a purse of Rs 5 lakh, together with Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh and Navneet Kaur.

For Rs 5 lakh Ajit Pal Singh Award (Midfielder of the 12 months), Manpreet and Vivek Sagar was nominated together with Monika and Neha Goyal.

Deep Grace, Harmanpreet Singh, Surender and Varun Kumar were being nominated for Pargat Singh Award (Defender of the 12 months), which also carries a prize purse of Rs 5 lakh.

India custodian PR Sreejesh together with Krishan B Pathak, Rajani Etimarpu and Savita were being nominated for Baljit Singh Award for Goalkeeper of the 12 months.

The nomination for Major Dhyan Chand Life time Accomplishment Award (Rs 30 lakh), President’s Award for Superb Accomplishment (Rs 5 lakh) and Jaman Lal Sharma Award for Invaluable Contribution (Rs 5 lakh) will be announced in the course of the purpose.
