Goosenberg Garners Big Ten Player of the Week
EVANSTON, Ill. – After a stunning performance at-bat against Rutgers in Northwestern’s home-opener at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park, Shawn Goosenberg was named Player of the Week by the Big Ten Conference.

- Posted a slugging percentage of 1.333 and a .563 on-base percentage to lead the Wildcats against Rutgers last weekend
- Registered a .533 batting average on the week with eight hits, four runs, six RBI and four home runs
- Hit a 12th-inning walk-off home run on April 9 before hitting a two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth of Sunday’s game to tie the game and force extra innings
- The Academic All-Big Ten honoree wins his second career Big Ten Player of the Week award
