Cheer & Dance athletes recognized by WHAC

WHAC Competitive CHEER AWARDS | WHAC Competitive DANCE AWARDS

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Convention has declared its postseason awards for aggressive cheer and aggressive dance, and 8 Spring Arbor College university student-athletes obtained recognition.

Freshman Courtney Grof of the cheer team and senior Anna Hoppe of the dance team have been named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team. The honor is given to individuals who best screen the NAIA’s 5 main values of integrity, regard, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.

Among the cheer and dance squads, seven Cougars earned a location on the WHAC All-Tutorial Team – Meredith Basnaw, Bekah Black, Daira Hacker, Rachel Herrel, Mary Hoppe, Anna Hoppe and Rebecca Nicholas. To generate All-Tutorial Team honors, a university student-athlete have to be a junior or above in educational standing, have a cumulative quality stage average of at minimum 3.25, and have been at his/her current institution for at minimum a single comprehensive year.
