Chapman Athletics clarifies spectator policy

ORANGE, Calif. – With spring sports showing up imminent, Chapman Athletics presently maintains a no-spectator plan in accordance with the CU Safely Back Program and the SCIAC’s COVID-19 procedures.

Although these procedures are becoming periodically reviewed dependent on the evolving disorders of the pandemic, the plan as of March seventeen for the two Chapman and the SCIAC does not let for spectators. Chapman University’s campus is presently closed to people.

Although Orange County’s transfer to the less restrictive purple tier is encouraging, we will go on to use the CU Safely Back system and discussions with other institutions throughout the SCIAC to retain a secure ecosystem for our staff and pupil-athletes.

These discussions are occurring commonly and we will supply updates on the SCIAC spectator plan as wanted.

Orange County transferring into the purple tier is a move in the appropriate route and we are hopeful that disorders in southern California go on to strengthen.
