Avery Young, Rutgers NFL Draft prospect, leans on his family

Soccer operates in Avery Young’s blood.

His father, Anthony, was a standout at Temple who performed in the NFL. His more mature brother, Jordan, and youthful brother, Aaron, are fellow Division I soccer gamers.

“We performed all the time growing up,” Avery recalled of his childhood in Coatesville, Pa. “Outside in the front property, we had plastic fake helmets embellished with encounter masks. It’s some thing we often did, continuously emulating our favored gamers.”

Now Avery, a six-foot-one, 205-pound fourth-year junior at Rutgers and bona fide NFL draft prospect, is hoping to carry on the family legacy in the pros. Anthony was a 3rd-spherical select of the Colts in 1985 who performed in fourteen online games as a rookie in advance of struggling a profession-ending neck personal injury the pursuing year. Avery is pursuing in his father’s footsteps most closely as a defensive again Jordan, a senior, performs linebacker at Aged Dominion and Aaron is a sophomore operating again at Rutgers.
